1950 CHEVROLET 3100 PICK UP TRUCK

1950 Chevy 3100 Pick Up Project This truck was purchased originally in Wisconsin, in 1950, as a farm truck and used for everything that would mean. In the 60's it was passed to his son who drove it through high school. To pay for his first year of college, he sold it to a fellow farming family here in CT, and the two sons were going to fix it up and drive it. Tragically both died before they could do anything with the truck (one in Vietnam and the other a car accident). It sat in the family garage for almost 40 years when it was sold to owner 4. Owner 4 amassed all the parts but didn't get any further than that. The current owner (#5) bought the truck several years ago and he too had life get in the way and all he managed to do was get the truck partially pulled apart and a few parts sandblasted. The original stove bolt Thrift Master 216 ci 6 cylinder is still installed in the truck and turns freely. A second, 1953 235 is also included in the sale. (It was reported that the 235 will need rebuilding). There is some minor rust in the front fenders and one of the rear fenders, the doors are solid and savable, the hood is very good, floors are solid and the glass is all very good. The frame has some surface rust but isn't rotted at all. Although we can't guarantee every part that is needed to rebuild her is there, I'd say 90+%. There are two new running boards, two new cab corners, two new rockers, all new rubber seals, new gaskets for the engine, new fender closing panels (the areas that are rusted on the front fenders), new door bottoms, new shocks, new signal switch and a 12V conversion kit. I've taken pictures of all the parts, so please look through all the photos to see what else comes with this project. It's a great platform to start from, especially for someone with the skills to weld on what needs to be and clean up/repair/rebuild/refurbish the rest. If you're looking for a great project vehicle, your search stops here. Asking price for the truck and all the parts is $8000 or best offer. Any questions, for several hundred more photos, to schedule time to see the truck or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me. As the last time the truck was registered was over 50 years ago, the truck is being sold with a CT Q1 form (official transfer of ownership form) and a CT Bill of Sale, along with a CT ownership affidavit, the title being lost eons ago. Thank you for the interest
