1931 Ford Model A Victoria
By 1927 Henry Ford had successfully perfected his assembly line production of vehicles with the Model T. The Model T is often regarded as the first affordable vehicle option allowing the middle class to finally have a chance at reliable and easily maintained transportation. He knew his follow up needed to be just as successful at filling that role which is when he introduced the Model A. Previously Ford had gone to the next letter of the alphabet when naming his cars but this time he decided that it was such a departure from the previous design so he started it all over with the "A". This line proved to be just as successful in the market with 2 million being sold by July 1929. Various body styles were produced until 1932 like the Victoria you see here. This is a nice stock original style car with an older restoration. It is all original steel and painted in a two tone Dark Maroon with Black fenders. It also has Black running down the body line which is topped with Red pinstriping. It wears its original style chrome front bumper with the split bumper in the rear. It also has nice original chrome headlights with its original headlight bar. The glass is in great shape throughout and the front windshield is still able to be opened like it was from the factory. The spoke steel wheels are painted Yellow and it has a matching rear mounted spare in a leather Ford cover.
The car is powered by its original 201 CID (3.3 L) L-head I4 that runs well. Based on how it runs it is clear the motor has been rebuilt. It is paired with its original 3 speed manual transmission. All of the drivetrain and suspension components are stock except an alternator has been added.
The interior is finished out in its original style Brown cloth and is in great condition. It has bucket seats up front and being a Victoria has a rear bench seat making it a great car to take the family out in. The dash is painted the same as the body and has its original layout and original working gauges.
Old steel original cars like this are only going to get harder to find so this would make a great addition to any collection.
