The previous owner owned it for 15 years and restored the car himself with his mechanical background. VIN: 450695. We believe this is the 695th 912 ever built. It is a three-gauge painted dash car. The car is powered by a 1720cc engine that was completely rebuilt. The engine case was sent to RIMCO to be line bored, and the crankshaft was turned by a local machine shop in Eugene. The rebuild included new bearings, pistons, and cylinders, along with an 86mm AA piston and cylinder kit. The heads were refinished, and a new clutch and pressure plate were installed. It is also equipped with Weber 40 carburetors. The car is paired with a 901 5-speed manual transaxle. The motor sounds great and has plenty of power. The transmission shifts well through the gears, and the brakes and clutch both feel good. The body is very straight, the gaps look great, and there is no rust on the car.
