This 1949 Chevrolet 3800 pickup was the subject of a custom build circa 2003 that involved refinishing the body in metallic silver with gray flames as well as installing a 383ci stroker V8 linked to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end. The bed was modified with a hinged aluminum bed floor panel as well as a front storage compartment that houses the aluminum fuel tank, and the engine compartment was customized in 2017 with a smoothed firewall, a fabricated radiator cover, and a batwing air cleaner that have been painted to match the exterior. Inside the cab, replacement seats are trimmed in black Ultraleather with patterned white cloth accents and accompanied by a center console, a Kenwood stereo unit, an aftermarket air conditioning system, and AutoMeter gauges. The chassis has been modified with a Mustang II-style front suspension setup, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, an aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust system with Hooker headers. The functional part of the bed measures 4 x 8. 100% Road ready and fun to drive!
