Description:

It is said that imitation is the highest form of flattery. If you want a classic Mustang that stands out but is far more affordable than the original, this 1965 Ford Mustang Restomod offers a perfect mix of speed and style while honoring the legendary Shelby factory-racer ethos. With its stunning blue and white two-tone paint scheme, 1965 GT350 front valance, 1967 GT350 hood and side scoops, along with a Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor-inspired body kit, make it clear this car is equal parts show and go.

Inside, we find a relatively luxurious interior as compared to the original GT350's stripped-down, no-frills motif. Comfy and supportive dual bucket seats by TMI display a black Pony Interior motif. A sporty power-assisted, four-spoke Grant steering wheel sits ahead of a white-faced horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by a large fuel gauge and tachometer. Custom toggle switches and a trio of auxiliary gauges look almost factory-made and continue this car's unique resto-mod vibe.

Under that scooped hood, we find an engine bay so impressive that it would make Carroll Shelby smile from ear to ear. A built 351-cubic-inch Windsor V-8 engine, topped with Edelbrock Racing valve covers and a matching air cleaner, sits tucked inside body-color fender walls. That power is routed through a Borg Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission before heading to the Ford 9-inch rear end, which transfers those ponies to the pavement via a set of knock-off-style American Racing wheels shod in Nitto tires.

GT350 Style Front Valance, Hood, and Side Scoops
Eleanor Style Body Kit
Side Exit Exhaust
351ci Windsor V8
T5 Five Speed Manual
3.73 Ford 9in Rear

This 1965 Ford Mustang Restomod rides on a custom Heidt's front end suspension, complete with coilovers, while a quartet of Wilwood power disc brakes sits at all four corners, and completes the sprint, turn, stop trifecta that sets this GT350 Tribute above the standard-issue Pony Car. Although imitation is supposedly the highest form of flattery, driving this car around, by the number of compliments you're likely to receive from any number of enthusiasts might rival that statement. Don't wait, call today!
