The current owner has possessed this partially restored 1971 Mercedes 280SE for the past 5 years and has documentation for maintenance/service that has been performed on the car. The factory white exterior has been professionally wrapped in white vinyl, a very nice job. Accents include the trademark Mercedes chrome grill, fog lights and steel wheels with full hubcaps that mount nearly new General Altimax radials.
Factory Interior-
The factory original Navy Blue MB interior with walnut trim is in outstanding condition. Comfort features include bucket seats, cold air conditioning, analog gauges, center console and a Becker BC/FM sound system (BC is European for AM).
Straight Six Power-
The sedan is powered by a 2.8L M130 straight-6, a SOHC design with 2 valves per cylinder and Bosch mechanical fuel injection. This silky-smooth gasoline motor was rated at 158hp and 177lb/ft of torque and is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox with floor shifter that performs flawlessly. The chassis is equipped with power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes and fully independent suspension.
