Description:
This 1953 Dodge B-4-B was in the collection of former Wal-Mart president and COO Jack Shewmaker. The truck is a half-ton, short-bed pickup with three on the tree, and it is powered by a 218ci flathead inline-six. Finished in coral over black upholstery, it has 15 steel wheels, a wood plank bed floor, and a six-volt electrical system.
Interior:
The bench is trimmed in black upholstery, and the three-window cab has a dark headliner, door panels, and flooring in addition to a Mopar Truck Master heater. The three-spoke steering wheel frames an 80-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
Exterior:
The coral finish is contrasted by black bumpers and side steps, and the truck has vent windows, a driver's side mirror, and a single taillight. Its 6.5' box has a wood-plank bed floor with body-colored runners. The 15 steel wheels have bright trim rings and hubcaps, and they are mounted with 7.50-series BFGoodrich Silvertown wide-whitewall tires.
Drivetrain:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted, three-speed manual transmission. The 218ci flathead straight-six is equipped with a downdraft carburetor topped with an oil-bath air cleaner.
