The Z3 had started being produced in 1995 and would have a run until 2002. The much anticipated M Model was introduced in 1997 in either the roadster or coupe and were initially powered by the S50 inline 6-cylinder and would only be available in a 5-speed manual transmission. It would also include a limited slip differential, a wider rear track and larger brakes. It would also take an exterior re-design of front and rear bumpers, roadster style deep dish wheels and quad exhaust giving it that tougher look. The interior would also be different with a factory voltometer, clock and oil temp gauges in the center console. This particular excellent example of the ""ultimate driving machine"" is this 160K mile car that has been lovingly enjoyed and toured as they were meant to be. This does not mean it has been abused as this has had excellent care, ownership, service and storage for a long time. There is a absolute mountain of open checkbook service receipts that come with this car. There is not a out of place noise or rattle, no shimmy or shakes, no funky leaks or smells and is a pure pleasure to drive. There is no dummy lights on the dash, the A/C blows ice cold and all lights and gauges work as they should. The paint has obvious blemishes that include swirling, paint chips and dulling on the lower side of the car but there is no rust or corrosion. The tires and brakes along with all fluid flushes are done in a routine fashion and all paperwork to be included. It comes with all of this plus original owners manuals, all keys and Carfax. This M roadster is ready to be enjoyed. I hope it gets driven as much as the consignor used it.
