1972 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT AIR-CONDITIONED

1972 International Harvester “IH” Scout II. Frame off Restored to near perfection! Equipped with it’s original 345 ci V8 Engine, Factory Air-Conditioning, Automatic Transmission, Four Wheel Drive, Power Steering, Dana Axles, Custom Leather Interior and original Convertible Hard Top. Yes, International Scouts look tougher, last longer, and are far less common than just about any other capable 4x4. With that fact stated, this one raises the bar to a whole nother level with this freshly built, no expense spared, meticulous attention to detail, custom creation. The Scout took the industrial strength of International Harvester and put it in a consumer-sized utility vehicle. It is the perfect canvas to create a custom-built off-roader that stands out from the rest. The Scout was in production for nearly two decades. 1972 was the first full year for the second-generation Scout, it features the horizontal bar grille which was only available for a short time. This helps highlight this 4x4's blocky stance. It’s body has been custom painted perfectly in Omaha Orange with nicely accenting lower chrome trim stretching from wheel well to wheel well. Classic American vehicles of this era are usually all about chrome, this one is no exception. This bad boy is no Boy Scout, it has a very modern and fierce stance, tastefully lifted with a Rough Country suspension. Sitting on 18” Moto Metal chrome wheels wrapped in Cooper white lettered Radial Tires. Make no mistake this one was built to be beautiful, but comfortable, it’s also the kind of truck that can pull its friends out of the mud if you choose to. All new chrome and stainless steel throughout, even including the window frames, vent windows, bumpers, mirrors, handles in & out, trim and grill etc. etc…. No detail was left unchecked with this beast. All factory brackets, braces, brakes, suspension, front end, rear end everything has been restored, blasted and painted or powder coated. The brand-new custom leather interior compliments the exterior paint and being a lighter color reflects heat when the tops off. Fully restored interior includes the bucket and rear bench seat foam, door and rear panels, center counsel, dash, carpet, seat frames, handles, hardware, instruments (they all work) and even lenses. Versatility doesn't mean missing out on comforts. There's an AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo (no speaker boxes are included) Toping this truck off, literally, is the restored original hard top which fits properly and retains it’s original glass and headliner. Under the hood is the optional 345 cubic-inch eight-cylinder engine. To start her up, she purrs like a kitten, but don’t be mistaken this Scout runs like a Tiger and it sounds like one. It's mated to a three-speed automatic transmission with a two-speed Dana 20 manual transfer case. Once the 4x4 is engaged, you can take full advantage of the Dana front and rear axles built for off-road duty. When you do take this Scout beyond the pavement, you’ll enjoy the comforts few jeeps, or Broncos of this era enjoy…… Factory AC that works!!!!! There's been so much time, effort, and even more money put into this Scout, you’d be hard pressed to find one nicer. That’s not just a hollow claim, It’s seriously a fact! Reap the rewards of extreme quality for a fraction of the cost it took to build, this one definitely wont disappoint.
