2020 Mazda CX-30 Priced From $22,945

Mazda has announced pricing for its newest subcompact SUV, the CX-30. Splitting the difference between the smaller CX-3 and larger CX-5 , the 2020 Mazda CX-30 is priced from $22,945 for the base front-wheel-drive model. All-wheel drive adds an extra $1,400. The base model comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, an eight-speaker audio system, and the MazdaConnect infotainment system featuring an 8.8-inch screen controlled by a knob. Mazda Connected Services will make its first appearance on the 2020 Mazda CX-30 in North America, allowing drivers to remotely lock or unlock the doors and start the engine. The feature also includes in-car Wi-Fi hotspot. The i-Activsense safety suite is standard, bundling together adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high beams. Moving up to the Select adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Preferred grade appears to be the sweet spot because it builds on the Select with a 12-speaker Bose audio system and heated front seats with memory and power operation on the drivers side. At the top of the 2020 Mazda CX-30 lineup is the Premium grade, which gets leather upholstery, a power liftgate, a moonroof, adaptive LED headlights, and a head-up display. However, that trim checks in at $29,245 for front-drive models and $30,645 for all-wheel-drive ones. At launch, the 2020 Mazda CX-30 will come with the same 186-hp, 186 lb-ft 2.5-liter I-4 from the Mazda3, but it will only be available with a six-speed automatic transmission. That gives it more power than many subcompact SUVs including the Subaru Crosstrek and Nissan Rogue Sport; however, it has less torque than the recently revealed 2021 Kia Seltos and the Jeep Renegade with its turbocharged engine. The 2020 Mazda CX-30 goes on sale at the end of the year. No word yet on whether Mazda will offer its newest subcompact SUV with the 2.5-liter turbo-four or the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-X engine in North America.
